Craft & Vendor shows - HELD IN 2013...

Held every Tuesday, May through Dec. 17, 2013, Inside the BANQUET ROOM of the BELLEVILLE CONEY ISLAND   871 SUMPTER ROAD, Belleville, MI  48111. This is inside the BELLE PLAZA Shopping Center just outside of town, near the Secretary of State office.  We had a great group of LOCAL Talented Crafters' and In-home sales Vendors to help you with your gift giving needs, or whatever you're shopping for.
We are independent of the Coney, and thank them for the use of their facility to hold our events.  Keep updated on our Facebook Events page by clicking the "button" to see our regular updates and join or share on Facebook!  We will be taking a break in January & February, letting the Sales Vendors use the space to hold mystery hostess parties, scrapbooking classes, and the such... but will return hopefully in March with a brand new batch of goodies for you!!

FUNDRAISING for Zac Lovelace at the Weekly Craft & Vendor EXTRAvaganza!

PictureZac Lovelace through the years... as a baby, recently with his Mother and his Girlfriend, and at present.. at University of Michigan Mott Childrens Hospital fighting his battle with Stage II NK/T-Cell Lymphoma as diagnosed on Nov. 2nd, 2013.
Please join us at the Weekly Craft & Vendor Extravaganza, held at the Belleville Coney Island Banquet Room (871 Sumpter Road, Belleville MI  48111)  on Nov. 12, 19, and 26th, 2013 to help raise money for Heather Lovelace and her son, Zachary Lovelace - pictured above.  Zac, now 17 years old, was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer... Non-hodgkins T cell Lymphoma.  After nearly a month in the hospital and months of having medical issues that were not able to be determined by doctors at several facilities, he ended up in the ER at UofM on Oct. 6th due to complications from his on-going illness, in the middle of a dinner to honor his Uncle that had recently passed away.  He has since been a "resident" at Mott Childrens Hospital and will begin Chemotherapy today - Nov 6th.  One month to the day from his admittance.
*Update on Zac's condition - in a post from 11/20/2013 on Facebook...
Zac's PICC line came out while he was sleeping. Not sure how, but on our way to Mott's again:'(
Update to come♡
Mom
------
He is scheduled to have a port placement Tuesday next week  Unfortunately that doesn't help now because he has to have 2 liters of fluids every night because the type of chemo he is having requires him being extra hydrated.
------
So the resident was just in. They did an X-ray to make sure the entire PICC line came out, & it did. The site where it came out is not having any substantial blood loss & appears to be closing/healing the way it should on its own. Considering he has been doing so much better with his fluid intake they are not going to put another PICC line in. We will have to measure his oral fluid intake & ensure he is intaking the minimum 2 liters a day, but they're comfortable with that as of now. This means we should be home soon♡ Thank you all for your prayers & concern:-)

Zac's mother, Heather Lovelace, is a single mom. She has been going to college and working to support her son and herself, and now finds herself at his side most of the time, and has used up all of her vacation and sick time from work.  She has her normal bills to deal with, as well as now the added expenses of "living" at the hospital and the medical expenses that insurance will not cover.  This will be a long course of treatment for Zac, and we would like to do what we can to help ease the burden of these expenses for them.  This is sadly not their "first rodeo" with cancer...as Zac had a battle with Aplastic Anemia when he was a toddler.  He was blessed to be cancer free for the past 15 or so years up until now.  Please feel free to join us in supporting Zac and Heather on FACEBOOK at https://www.facebook.com/TeamZac.  You can follow progress, send prayers, well wishes, and more by LIKEing the page.

Our Vendors and Crafters will be required to donate a designated minimum amount to set up at our event  for these three weeks, as well as there will be a canister in the BANQUET ROOM and at the Belleville Coney Island cash register area for the family for the entire three weeks for restaurant patrons to donate.  We would like to thank Eddie Enlam and his staff once again for being so good to us, and our community as a whole.

For the Nov. 12 event, we have the following participants scheduled to set up at our event.  I will list the upcoming weeks as the time nears, just to make sure there are no changes ;)  I will be adding a slide show of photos of products for these crafters... product from the vendors can be seen by going to any of the websites for that product line...

Our Nov. 26 event will have another full house of great participants!  I will be unable to participate this week as I am having emergency surgery to repair a fracture in my Right Femur bone, a result most likely from the bone metastasis that I had been diagnosed with 3 1/2 years ago, but I am leaving the event in the capable hands of Susan Carpenter of AHOY, Crafts from home and  the organizer and coordinater of the Ypsilanti Crafters Market.

No parent should EVER have to feel alone when their child (whom also should not have to be put through this) is fighting a battle of any medical kind, especially one of a rare form of cancer!  Your support has helped them feel the love and be able to continue on to the next step...  Follow them on Facebook to share your prayers and let them keep feeling the love!
