Hello to everyone!
I appreciate all of your inquiries and patience as I have been working to figure out the 2014 schedule and such. I have been delaying the start of our regular events at the Belleville Coney Island as I have had some health issues that take precedence. My cancer markers are up at this time and I am facing a change in my treatment process possibly in the near future. Since my surgery in November for the fracture in my femur, I find myself weaker and with less energy than before.
I had planned to begin on April 8th with 2 shows each month. Having given this more consideration, I have decided that I will not be organizing these events for 2014. I have decided that my personal health and time with my family are far to important to put my time and energy into organizing the shows. Between my personal situation and the lack of willingness from the owner of the venue to help us with our events, such as table arrangement and joint advertising, I have decided against doing it this year. The owner has indicated he would not be able to help with the event even if we paid him, as he could get in trouble for running a secondary business out of his business... Of course, most of us are physically not able to keep moving those tables & chairs around each time we want to use the venue, and I could not even get him to agree to making sure the room was cleaned on occasion.
There may be some shows that I pull together over the year, but for right now, I will not be holding or organizing any shows. I will be participating in shows organized by others, and will continue to inform you all of such opportunities. I will also inform you if there are any events that I do pull together, which would be fundraising events of some sort.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in this notice, I really did not want to have to end the shows, but do not see any other option at this time. I have set up a Facebook page called Belleville Arts, Crafts & Vendor Market which you are all welcome to join and share your products on the page, as the public may find the page helpful to find such "products" in our community. Thank you ALL for having provided me with so much fun over the past year and allowing me the opportunity to do something completely new and challenging... I only wish I were able to continue on with this for many more years.
God Bless and Keep you all.
