TLC Gardens & Crafts and Mike's MANTIQUES
located in the outskirts of Belleville MI, as well as right here on your computer!
WELCOME To Your home for Quality HANDMADE Custom Jewelry for all ages and genders!
We create rings and earrings from COINS, and Custom Jewelry items dedicated to ROSIE THE RIVETER and Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness and Research funding via www.Metavivor.org, one of the very few organizations that dedicate 100% of donations received toward RESEARCH, ENGINEERING, and SUPPORT for METASTATIC
(Stage iv) BREAST CANCER PATIENTS.
Please note that due to the present condition of Teri's health, we are no longer creating any sewn merchandise.
All of our fabrics and notions have been donated to the Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Store or
sold at a special week long sale here in Belleville MI where we reside .

Remember, when you shop from a small shop run by families such as this one,
you are helping to support that family, with all of their financial needs.
In our case, you are helping to support a family dealing with a Stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis
to be able to afford the gas to get to and from doctor appointments,
pay for OTC Medications and supplies not covered by insurance, and allow us the opportunity
to get out and enjoy life once & awhile, rather than being cooped up in the house,
where it seems like we spend 95% of our time since this diagnosis in 2010,
and to make prepayments for the inevitable...
********** here is a little information about US...********
Our store colors represent something very special...
The METAVIVOR RIBBON or MBC Ribbon; is Green, Pink, and Teal,
and in our support of RESEARCH for STAGE 4 BREAST CANCER via METAVIVOR,
we use the same colors to help bring more attention to the cause in most of our marketing,
as Teri (TLC) has survived with MBC (Metastatic Breast Cancer) since my mets diagnosis May 8 2010.
The cancer presently, is in bones, lungs, liver and as of January 2018, in the brain as well; but it remains
BREAST CANCER... Stage IV.... with no cure.
My initial diagnosis of Stage I DCIS was May 2000. Oral Chemotherapy began on January 1, 2016 and apparently failed by the end of April.
In May 2016, ; Teri began infusion chemotherapy 3 out of 4 weeks per month, once a week. CARBOPLATIN was the next form of treatment. The first week, CA 15-3 marker came down by 40. This was a good sign and we hope that the second month it continues to kick Cancer ASS. Unfortunately, this was not the case.
As of October 2017, Teri began Taxol (Paclitaxel) chemotherapy and in the first two months, tumor markers in the blood dropped from 497 to 211, which is awesome! We have 4 more weeks before scans to verify this drug is shrinking/killing the cancer. Sadly, an MRI of the brain on Halloween 2017 shows possible progression to the lining of the brain. Presently, we are waiting to meet with a Neuro Oncologist to determine more.
Oral surgery and treatment for Osteo Necrosis of the Jaw as a result of that took up most of the Spring/Summer of 2016. A partial hip replacement on 9/22/16 has prevented me from doing much physically such as sitting at the sewing machine now. I will be slowly adding fabrics, patterns, and other such crafting supplies to our store as I am able to get into the craft room to begin the clean out process. ... more updates on my health can be found on our blog page;
Make sure to keep an eye on our STORE tab for the new items.
Teri is proud to be one of the Great Lakes Region Ambassadors to the organization; METAVIVOR.org,
helping to advocate for #MoreForStageIV, raising awareness that Stage IV Research needs more funding to help
prevent further deaths from Breast Cancer itself. Learn more at the Metavivor website... www.metavivor.org.
In addition to my living with cancer and helping others struggling with the disease by mentoring others online, I am also an honorary TRIBUTE ROSIE the RIVETER in the Willow Run Airport District, located on the Ypsilanti/Belleville MI border, and have supported and participated behind the scenes, and as a ROSIE in THREE Guinness World Book Record events since my diagnosis with Stage 4 Cancer. The Willow Run Rosie's showed their appreciation in Dec 2015 as they made ME; TLC, their
Guest of Honor; with hubby Mike seated beside me in the "ROSIE JEEP", and my daughter & grandkids joining in the fun dressed as ROSIE marching alongside or taking photos along the parade route in the Belleville MI Winter Holiday Parade.
I have been a very avid and passionate gardener, a trait learned from both of my parents from a very young age. In 2016, all of the original TLC's Garden was moved from the property in the "countryside" where hubby's Aunt Bev was kind enough to allow us to create our garden, to our small yard; all in pots or raised beds using oval livestock tanks collected in 2010 & 2011 for the garden area. The cancer is now prohibiting me from going to the garden site any longer, and tending to things there for extended periods of time. To continue in a smaller level; with some help, Mike brought the garden HOME, to allow me to still be able to grow some of the fresh favorites, such as the lettuces, and of course; Tomatoes and herbs.
I (TLC) have been an Organizer, Planner and Participant in many local Craft Shows, helping others to raise funds for special needs families or charities such as METAVIVOR, TEAM ZAK, SAVETHEBOMBERPLANT.ORG, or clothing and household supplies drive for a local apartment community that had a major fire; which displaced ten or more families, and helping a School Supplies Drive for a local facility that sheltered otherwise homeless families; so they had the supplies needed to start their school year.
All of this, through my Facebook page organization called: Belleville Arts, Crafts, & Vendor Market.
All of this was done on a Voluntary basis when I was physically able to put my efforts into these passions. This hobby had to be given up in 2016 due to continued weakness in my bones from the MBC, resulting in a partial hip replacement in Sept. 2016, which was necessary due to a break in the bone caused by a minor fracture that occurred while setting up my last of three fundraisers for The Lighthouse Church of Belleville MI. Since the orthopedic surgery from that situation, life has been much slower. Focusing on fighting cancer and spending time with family. I have two grandkids whom are my world, my loving husband and our TNR Feral Cat, @MarcyKatCranson
"Mike's MANTIQUES" is TLC's hubby Mike. A former Maintenance & Construction worker, helping to perform home renovations and building new homes until he injured his spine in November 2013. He now considers himself a PICKER and a DIGGER; finding treasures by helping to clean out Estate Sale sites, or finding collectibles at yard sales or thrift stores or online to enjoy and sell at shows or online, thus; sharing with others. He enjoys discovering the histories of items he finds with his metal detector when *possible and sharing them with the local Museum in town, the Belleville Area Museum. (*when he is not busy fulfilling his role of medical caregiver for Teri, or laid up in pain from his own injuries) IF you are looking for someone to help YOU with pricing or purchasing YOUR vintage toys or trinkets... Shoot us a message and I'll see that he get's in touch with YOU. If HE can't help you, his partner in Toys Bruce may be able to step in and work together to help you out in the Washtenaw / Wayne / Livingsgton / Lenewee County area of SE Michigan.
Mike is also pretty crafty, and has created some gorgeous earrings and rings made from Coin, Bullets, and Fishing Lures; , which you will find in our JEWELRY section of our store. I can't keep up with his inventory to post on the store, so check our Facebook page for details on his product for now...

We have a fund raising site set up through our PayPal account for any donations people may wish to send us to help us find a more handicap accessible home (our current modular home is small and my walker does not even fit through the doors), and to help us with other medical issue expenses that occur such as transportation for our many appointments, Durable Medical Equipment that is NOT covered by Medicare/Medicaid and end of life expenditures for Teri and Mike as well... for burial and such. We truly appreciate any such donations that we may receive to help us with our battle with cancer and Mike's spinal injury that he's battled with since 2013 but does not qualify him for disability, as doctors say he should be able to learn
new skills to be employable, but when you're over 55 and caretaker for your terminally ill wife, that is not an option..
That link; should you wish to help us out, is: https://www.paypal.me/TLCwageWARonMBC
or you may go to our store and find the tab for Donations which you can add to an order or just donate independently.
