It is now 2015, and the craft room here has been undergoing some transformations. For starters, we no longer have our little furry mascot keeping me company at the sewing machine. Our sweet Ashley passed away in September last year and it has taken me a few months to have the strength to head back into the room, and re-organize so I could work again.
The Christmas season proved to be very busy. We had multiple orders for custom items and worked very hard to meet the deadlines to help Santa Claus deliver on time. There were some very happy little ladies that received some special doll bedding, pajamas to match and outfits as well.
We have not been doing many shows this year, health problems have been an issue, and planning the big show has pretty much taken over my time the past month or two.
I am HAPPY to report, that on April 26 2015, I will be hosting the WAGING WAR ON STAGE IV - Craft & Vendor Fair in Ann Arbor, MI. There will be representatives from METAVIVOR Research & Support, Inc. of Maryland on their "Sea to Sea" Journey in Ann Arbor to meet and interview the doctor that received their research grant in 2013, to help find a CURE for Metastatic Breast Cancer. The event will have approximately 40 Crafters / Vendors on site, including a Mobile Spray Tan Station, Photo Booth, and we are hoping for, a Chair massage station; as well as many raffle items available to place your ticket in the bidding for! All of this, to help raise money for METAvivor to provide more grants for doctors to help us find a cure for this Stage IV Breast Cancer.
There is an event set up on FACEBOOK to follow our list of vendors, and provide full details of the event, should you be interested in joining us. It can be found at _
Should you be interested in making a contribution to help our event be successful, but cannot participate physically, there is a link to the METAVIVOR website with our information, you are welcome to contribute via that link. It is https://secure.metavivor.org/page/contribute/craft-vendor-fair-for-metavivor
As for products that WE will have on site that day, I am hoping to get some work done making Anna & Elsa dresses for the AG dolls, and my hubby will have his amazing Bullet and Guitar Pick Jewelry as well. I have also been very busy making custom jewelry to help raise awareness of MBC, using the Teal, Pink & Green colors of the METAvivor Ribbon.
